Day 1: Marakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Boumalne Dades
From your riad/hotel in Marrakech, we depart for Boumalne Dades. Enjoy the beautiful view of the landscapes and Tizi N Tichka pass (2260) in the High Atlas Mountains. We will see several Berber villages on the way with the possibility to visit some cooperatives producing and selling argan oil to explore how local women work hard to produce this precious oil. After, Visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the most famous Kasbah in the South of Morocco. Then continue to Boumalne Dades where we will dine and overnight.
Day 2: Boumalne dades - Erfoud - Rissani - merzouga
Today we set off for the Sahara desert of Merzouga; we will see the majestic Dades Valley and Toudgha Gorges. We will pass through Tinghir, Klaat Magouna, Tinjdad and other Berber villages along the way. We can make a stop in either Erfoud or Rissani at lunch time to experience local foods such as Berber pizza which most visitors usually love to taste when they make it to Rissani because it is prepared with different local ingredients that give it a special flavor.
Day 3: Merzouga & Erg Chebbi dunes exploration
We will devote this day to explore the desert of Merzouga region. A few kilometres from Merzouga located the village of Khamlia where the majority of the population are black. We will make a stop in the village before continuing our journey to visit the Nomads behind the dunes who usually live under tents so it’s easy for them to move from one place to another looking for grass to their sheep or camels. Continue till we reach the Moroccan-Algerian borders then make a stop before we carry on our tour around the dunes till we reach Erg chebbi then back to our hotel.
Day 4: Merzouga- Erfoud- Midelt- Azrou- fez
After breakfast, we set off for Fes, pass via Erfoud and drive along Ziz valley which is famous for palm trees. Enjoy panoramic views with possible stops for photos along the way. We will pass through several small cities such as Midelt, Zaida, and Timahdit where you can have Moroccan local lunch. Make a stop at Azrou in the Middle Atlas to see the Cedar forest where Barbarian apes live. Continue our journey to your Riad in Fes where the tour ends.
