4-day program from Errachidia, Merzouga, Dades, Marrakech
The tour starts from Errachidia where we will pick you up to Merzouga. The first stop is in Oulad Chakir where you will enjoy the flamboyant view of the Ziz Valley from the peak. You can enjoy the panorama and simultaneously take pictures to archive your bodacious trip. Then you continue to Rissani. The latter used to be called Sijilmassa, which was the contact zone for the salt caravans coming from Timbuktu in Mali. Here you will walk through the souk, selling spices, vegetables and cloths. In Rissani, you can try what is called Berber Pizza, locally known as MEDFOUNA. After lunch, you take off to Merzouga passing through ancient villages in forms of Kasbahs. Once in Merzouga, your camels will be waiting for you to give you a lift to the heart of the Moroccan Sahara. The camel trek will take you to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the highest in North Africa. The camp consists of several comfortable Berber tents equipped with mattresses and linen, a restaurant, a kitchen, and toilets. The evening will consist of dinner followed by entertainment provided by Berber drums.
