2-day program from Marrakech to Merzouga desert
The journey starts from Marrakech towards the Sahara desert, Merzouga through Tizi N’Tichka pass with an altitude of 2260m. You get to enjoy the panoramas and the Berber villages all along the way. Once you get to Ait Ben Haddou’s kasba, which is a UNESCO Heritage site, you shall have a tour then lunch. After lunch you will continue to enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes and the historical monuments of Taourirt Kasbah in Ourzazate and the Valley of the Roses. The latter is famous for its annual Festival of Roses. You will also pass through the Berber villages of El Kelaa des M'Gouna and Boumalene du Dades on your way to Merzouga. Once in Merzouga, you will ride camels to the camp where you will spend your night at the heart of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the highest in North Africa. The camp consists of several comfortable Berber tents equipped with mattresses and linen, a restaurant, a kitchen, and toilets. In the camp, you will have dinner then dance to Berber music which will be played by our staff.
After breakfast, we head back to Marrakech and you have the chance to see different villages on the way. We will arrive in Marrakech around the evening.
